How to play
Each seat is dealt 13 cards; the goal is to be the first to shed your entire hand. The holder of the 3♠ leads the first hand and must include it. Play is a chain of tricks: the lead sets a combo (single, pair, triple, straight, or a bomb) and each seat in turn either beats it with the same combo type and length — strictly higher, rank first and suit breaking the tie — or passes. A seat that passes is locked out until the trick resets, and when everyone else passes the last player to play leads a fresh combo. Bombs chop 2s: three consecutive pairs or a four-of-a-kind beat a single 2, four consecutive pairs beat a pair of 2s. Finishing order (1st out … 4th) drives a zero-sum, per-place settlement against the other three players.
Tien Len (Tiến Lên) is the live pilot of the Sabay Play catalog — the confirmed Southern variant, Tiến Lên Miền Nam. Its server plugin and client scene are built and verified: a PixiJS v8 client over a Colyseus room, with server-authoritative outcomes, server-side RNG for seed-reproducible deals, and a zero-sum settlement that is checked every hand.
Private hands never live in shared room state — each seat receives only its own cards via masked per-seat events, while the schema carries just the public per-seat card counts and trick flags. Placements (1st out through 4th) feed a per-place payout with thối-2 and bomb penalties for cards stuck in hand, a flat 3% house fee, and coin stakes of 100 / 500 / 1,000 / 5,000 / 20,000 — play money only, with no cash value.
